AGNIESZKA DACA graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, and obtained her Diploma in Fine Arts in 1994. She completed postgraduate studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, at the ateliers of painting techniques and fresco.
From 2009-2013 she gave lectures and classes on “Visual Structures” at the Institute of the History of Art and Culture, at the Pontifical University of Cracow. Since 2009 she has been teaching painting, drawing and visual structures at the Faculty of Art, at the Pedagogical University in Cracow. She obtained her Doctorate in Fine Arts in 2014.
Her works have been presented at several solo exhibitions in Cracow and also in Paris, Warsaw, Łomża, Nuremberg, Bordeaux, Anglet, Irun and Bayonne. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions: in Poland (Cracow, Warsaw), in France (Paris, Montreuil, Saint Jean de Luz, Biarritz, Anglet, Bayonne, Nay, Pardies-Piétat) also in the Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain, Japan, Luxembourg, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Togo, Croatia, Taiwan, Korea, Germany, and in Spain.
She won first prize at the “Artists of the World” international exhibition held in Paris (1995), the Montreuil Culture Association Prize (1997), as well as first prize at the XII Salon of Independent Artists in Saint Jean de Luz, France (2008), and first prize at the XVII "Adour - Bidasoa" Painting Contest in Irun, Spain (2008). She was awarded a grant from the City of Paris (1996), two French government grants (1994/1995, 1999/2000), a grant from the City of Cracow (1998), a Polish Minister of Culture grant (1999), a grant from the Kunsthaus, Nuremberg (2004), and a Doctoral Grant from the Pedagogical University, Cracow (2012/2013).
